What is faith?

Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.2

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.3

Romans 10:8–9

But what does it say? The word is near, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the word of faith that we preach:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
